Season 2026
Mediterranean Experiences — three chapters at sea
October to December 2026, aboard the Sunreef 70 Midori: Brindisi to Croatia, south into the Ionian and Corfu, then open water to Malta, Sicily and back to Brindisi. A prelude to the Naora world expedition of Spring 2027.
IIDown into softer lightNovember 2026 · Croatia → Ionian Sea → Corfu → the southern Ionian · 350 NM
IIIOpen water, and homeDecember 2026 · Corfu → Malta → Siracusa → east coast of Sicily → Brindisi · 720 NM
Sailed end to end, the season carries you past the 250, 500 and 1000 Mile marks.
Each chapter takes a small number of guests. Places are held by invitation: write to us and we will send the current availability, the cabin plan and the terms aboard.
Chapter I — October 2026
The last warm crossing
I
The season is still in the water. You leave the heel of Italy in late afternoon light and wake to limestone. Nothing is crowded any more, and nothing has gone cold yet.
Route
Brindisi → Adriatic → Hvar → Dalmatian islands
Distance
340 NM

01
Brindisi → Offshore, Adriatic
1 day · 1 night at sea · 60 NM · Night passage under sail
You board in the afternoon, when the light on the limestone turns the colour of bread. Dinner is served underway, the coast of Puglia thinning behind us until it is only a line of lamps. Watches are shared, not assigned.
02
Adriatic → Hvar, Croatia
2 days · 120 NM · Landfall at dawn, then coastal
First light gives you islands instead of horizon. Pine and salt, shuttered terraces, a swim before breakfast in water clear enough to read depth by eye.
03
Hvar → Vis, Šćedro and the outer bays
3 days · 90 NM · Short island hops, anchoring every night
We anchor in bays that in August hold forty boats and now hold one. Long lunches on the foredeck, an afternoon ashore for oil and wine, and evenings so quiet you can hear the chain settle.
04
The islands → Southern Dalmatia
2 days · 1 night at sea · 70 NM · Coastal, one night passage south
The last stretch of the chapter runs south with the mountains on the beam. Stars, a warm deck, and the sense of a season closing gracefully rather than ending.
Chapter II — November 2026
Down into softer light
II
South, out of the Adriatic and into olive light. Harbours have been handed back to the people who live in them, and the sea has the whole coast to itself.
Route
Croatia → Ionian Sea → Corfu → the southern Ionian
Distance
350 NM

01
Southern Croatia → Ionian Sea
2 days · 1 night at sea · 140 NM · Open passage south
You leave in a grey-blue morning and by the second dusk the air has changed — softer, greener, carrying woodsmoke from a coast you cannot see yet.
02
Ionian Sea → Corfu, Greece
3 days · 70 NM · Coastal and channel sailing
Olive terraces running down to the shore, church bells across the channel at dusk, Venetian streets that smell of rain on stone. Oil pressed the week you arrive.
03
Corfu → Southern Ionian anchorages
2 days · 70 NM · Day sailing, anchoring each evening
Empty bays with sand the colour of paper. Swimming is still easy in November if you do it at noon and drink coffee immediately after.
04
Southern Ionian → Corfu
2 days · 70 NM · Coastal return north to Corfu
Back north with the mountains of Epirus on the beam. The chapter ends where the next one leaves from, with a last dinner ashore in the old town.
Chapter III — December 2026
Open water, and home
III
The longest water of the season, and then winter light, low and gold, on honey-coloured stone. The sea is entirely ours, and the circle closes where it began.
Route
Corfu → Malta → Siracusa → east coast of Sicily → Brindisi
Distance
720 NM
Aboard
11 days aboard
01
Corfu, Greece → Malta
3 days · 2 nights at sea · 340 NM · Open water crossing
The longest stretch of blue on the chart. No land for a day and a half — the part of the route that turns guests into crew, and the one people talk about afterwards.
02
Malta → Valletta and the southern anchorages
3 days · 40 NM · Harbour and short coastal legs
Arriving at first light into a harbour cut from honey-coloured stone. Deep-water swims off the transom, evenings in the old city where December still feels like early autumn.
03
Malta → Siracusa, Sicily
1 day · 85 NM · One easy daylight crossing
A single clean day of sailing, dolphins somewhere around lunch, and Sicily arriving as a low grey shape that becomes baroque stone by evening.
04
Siracusa → Taormina and the east coast
2 days · 55 NM · Coastal, Etna to port
Up the east coast with Etna holding the horizon. Markets in the morning, the boat smelling of citrus and wood smoke, snow on the volcano while you sail in a shirt.
05
Sicily → Brindisi
2 days · 1 night at sea · 200 NM · Final night passage north
The last passage closes the circle where it began. Nobody sleeps much. Coffee at four, land at six, and the season put quietly to bed.
